Meet Our Educators

40th Birthday Picture.jpg

Welcome! I’m Nattily Edward, Founder of Konnections Child & Family Services.

I am a licensed Early Childhood Educator and Child Development Practitioner dedicated to helping children succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Since 2019, I have supported families across the Greater Toronto Area by providing personalized tutoring, behaviour support, and developmental guidance tailored to each child’s unique needs.

I understand that every child learns differently, and that challenges such as anxiety, self-regulation, focus, or academic difficulties can be overwhelming for both children and parents. My role is to walk alongside your family, offering professional, compassionate, and effective support to help your child build confidence, independence, and a strong foundation for learning.

At Konnections Child & Family Services, I work with children from JK to Grade 8 in areas such as:

  • Literacy and reading support

  • Homework help and study skills

  • Behaviour management and self-regulation strategies

  • Social-emotional learning

  • Individualized learning plans

  • Parent coaching and guidance

My approach combines evidence-based strategies with a nurturing and encouraging learning environment where your child feels safe, valued, and motivated to grow. I believe that when children feel supported, they are more willing to take risks, try their best, and develop a genuine love for learning.

Your child’s success is my priority. Together, we can help them reach their developmental milestones, overcome challenges, and build the skills they need to thrive in school and beyond.

I look forward to supporting your family and being part of your child’s learning journey.

Nigel G. Hunter is a transformative educational leader, certified teacher, and dedicated community advocate who operates at the intersection of critical pedagogy, intentional mentorship, and anti-racist practice. With over 15 years of deep-rooted experience serving disenfranchised and marginalized youth in Toronto’s inner-city communities, Nigel designs and facilitates spaces that challenge systemic inequities, center student voice, and inspire generational empowerment. Currently serving as an Elementary Teacher and Secondary Student Success Department Head for the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), Nigel views education not merely as instruction, but as a revolutionary act of liberation. His facilitation style is heavily informed by his lived experience and an unwavering commitment to advocacy. Notably, Nigel was a key collaborator in the Rhymes to Re-Education Hip-Hop curriculum—a groundbreaking initiative that utilizes Hip-Hop and Spoken Word as culturally relevant, critical pedagogical tools to drive authentic student engagement and structural critique.

Nigel’s anti-racist framework is further exemplified by his extensive, 15-year tenure with influential Greater Toronto Area community organizations, including YAAACE and Success Beyond Limits (SBL). As the SBL Student Success Department Head for the past three years, he has championed a comprehensive mentorship continuum that transitions Grade 8 students from the Jane and Finch community into secondary school. His work within this collective impact model focuses on breaking down systemic barriers by helping youth secure their first high school credits on post-secondary campuses, thereby dismantling deep-seated myths surrounding higher education. An expert facilitator of community partnerships, Nigel works
